I find myself wondering if the artist and/or songwriter peeked into my journal, as their lyrics seem too personal, reflecting exactly what I’m going through.
Loved this!!! I do believe it’s people that listen to music and people that fall in love with the music. I’m one of those that fall in love with music. I sometimes wish I could experience an artist, a song for the first time. Like the first time I heard Teena Marie, I was in middle school playing Teena Marie in my 5 disc player until I fall asleep 😂. Her voice, wow.
Some of my most fondest childhood memories was centered around music. Music is my therapy it makes everything better and I have a playlist for every occasion or emotion.
And yes, dating someone with a love of music is top tier.
I agree 1000%! I’m definitely someone who falls in love with music as well. Whewww, there are so many artists & songs I wish I could experience for the first time again but you know what instantly came to mind? SiR’s “John Redcorn”. I’ll never, ever get tired of that song and also feels so fresh to my ears! Listen, Lady Tee was really that girl! I remember being in elementary school finding out she wasn’t Black, I could not believe it! She had so much soul and was voice was truly 1 of 1.
Loved this! Music embeds in my memories as well. Sometimes I wonder if that’s a sign to have leaned into music more because I don’t think everyone lights up for music in that way or if it’s just opportunity to see, acknowledge and appreciate love in the many ways it shows up in our lives.
